Kannon Price is Launch Pad Charleston’s recent College of Charleston grad and adrenaline junkie (and he is also kind enough to pick up the cold brew each week for those of us who are caffeine-dependent). We caught up with Kannon to learn even more about what he does and why he loves to call Launch Pad his home away from home.
Which Launch Pad office do you work in?
Charleston – Office 214 on the back wall.
What company do you work for and what do you do?
I am the founder of The Ripple Effect. We are a fundraising organization for autism behavioral therapy centers in the Charleston Area centered around a surf camp for kids with autism.
What drives you to do your work?
I’m a big believer in “A man’s true wealth is the good he does in this world.” I want to make a positive impact on my community and surfing and entrepreneurship are the tools I have been given to do so.
What are you passionate about outside of your work?
I’m a little bit of an adrenaline junkie, so anything from surfing and wakeboarding to motorcycle racing and downhill mountain biking.
What’s the one thing everyone in the office should know about you?
I’ve had 7 concussions, so if I forget your name, I promise it’s nothing personal.
What do you bring to the Launch Pad community?
I like to think I bring some fun, goofy, positive energy to the workplace.
What can Launch Pad do for you?
Weekly dance competitions in the Boardroom. That, or a cold brew kegerator.
What’s your favorite thing about Launch Pad?
The community. I think we have a lot of fun like-minded people under one roof and that always leads to great collaboration.
